Young photographers on show

1st November 2002 at 00:00
A COLLECTION of photographic portraits by young people from across London is to be displayed at the National Portrait Gallery. Five groups of young people, including socially excluded black teenagers, the homeless and special-needs pupils, were trained by professional photographers. They were asked to produce photographs of people who had touched their lives, to be displayed alongside portraits by Swedish photographer Jonas Karllson. The "Local Heroes" exhibition will run until March 2003.
