Monitoring standards will be one of the subjects dealt with in the forth-coming TES Governors Guides. A special four-page pull-out section for new and more experienced governors will be included in The TES each week for four weeks beginning on February 28. These will cover the roles and responsibilities of governors and their relations with headteachers; monitoring curriculum and behaviour; setting and monitoring budgets; and governors’ role in development planning.
