TES contributor Mike Baker, the BBC’s education correspondent, has been named education journalist of the year by Edexcel, chosen for his “accurate and informative presentation of highly-charged issues through a range of media”. TES reporter Julie Henry and feature writer Wendy Wallace received special mentions at the awards ceremony. TES journalists Jon Slater and Harvey McGavin were also shortlisted.
