Tony Blair visited the Eastern region Labour party in Ipswich last Thursday. Our mole at the private meeting informs us that a member from Bury St Edmunds told him she too had a son called Leo. Unfortunately, her seven-year-old, a great fan of Tony’s, had been unable to attend because he was too exhausted after his national tests.
Tony was apologetic about the traumatic tests, adding that his Leo was too young to have experienced their delights. He said: “We haven’t introduced tests for two-year-olds yet - we’re working on it”. You read it here first.
