It is good that the Government’s advice on sex education is from independent sources. Both of the groups who produced last week’s controversial report (“sex ed for five-year-olds” etc) - the independent advisory group on teenage pregnancy and the independent advisory group on sexual health - have that reassuring adjective in the title. The Diary merely notes that the insertion of the “independent” in the second case turns the group’s acronym into SHIAG. Sounds just like the kind of thing a good-time girl in Texas might get up to.
