Girls are more likely to be victims of cyber-bullying than boys, according to new research. The Queen Mary university study found that more than 20 per cent of girls reported being bullied by mobile phone compared with 10 per cent of boys last year, and figures were rising. “The study shows children are receiving some particularly nasty and threatening messages,” said Professor Ian Rivers, Queen Mary’s head of psychology.
