CAN I thank the TES for the positive reporting on Norfolk’s Office for Standards in Education inspection (TES, March 19)? I believe it will create a great deal of good in the county because of schools’ growing confidence and your report will have helped.
It was a shame, therefore, to see Norfolk named as one of the 18 LEAs which were sent letters by the Secretary of State about their education SSA. Norfolk was asked to provide further information about next year’s budget. I can confirm it will increase by pound;17.6m compared to an SSA increase of pound;16.5m.
