As a teacher who suffers from voice strain, I was delighted to see your article on this problem (TES, November 20).
However, although it would help raise awareness of the issue I did find the article rather depressing in that it seemed to infer there was little effective help available.
With correct help from a speech therapist combined with a good quality voice amplification system I have no problems continuing to teach. In fact since starting to use my microphone and speaker system last spring, my health is better that it has been for many years.
