So “Woodhead admits he was a bad boss.” Many teachers may have something to add to that.

Some of us can recall when Her Majesty’s inspectors were erudite and gifted educationists much respected for their knowledge and wisdom.

That, of course, was before Ofsted’s army of “educational prostitutes” began patrolling the back alleys of government policy to feed off the obsessive, indiscriminate and cruel system of accountability.

Your columnist Ted Wragg is quite right to call for an inspection regime that works and is not for sale.
