Two senior college board members want a major review of the way colleges are governed. Jim Ross, chair at Perth College, and George Stevenson, a member of Falkirk College board, said in a paper to the Association of Scottish Colleges conference that there is a lack of “informed collective reason” behind board management of colleges, often based on “relatively superficial knowledge and instinctive judgment”.
