School inspectors have been given advice on how to rate classroom support for the highest-performing pupils. A new guide, produced by Welsh inspectorate Estyn, gives inspectors tips on how to spot the “more able and talented” learners between the ages of three and 19. It also lists questions that inspectors should consider when deciding whether the brightest pupils are being appropriately taught and challenged at schools and colleges.
