A resource providing information for schools on dealing with autistic pupils is to be published this summer.
The Autism Toolbox has been commissioned by the Scottish Government and put together by a team of writers from the University of Strathclyde’s National Centre for Autism Studies.
The materials will include guidance for schools on, for instance:
- recognising autism
- strengths and challenges of an autism profile
- assessment
- classroom organisation and strategies.
The Autism Toolbox will be published in June when photocopiable sets of guidance will be downloadable from the Scottish Autism Network site.
