The new general secretary of the Association of Directors of Education in Scotland is John Stodter, former education director with Aberdeen City Council. Mr Stodter, aged 50, quit the council at the turn of the year amid further corporate restructuring.
The association has been without a general secretary since the departure of Colin Dalrymple, former depute director of education in Edinburgh, who was sacked from his post as the city’s strategic projects manager last September.
