LEAGUE tables of seven-year-olds’ test scores would be published by a future Tory government.
The proposal to publish school-by-school results for key stage 1 will be revealed next week with a number of new measures in the party’s Common Sense Education document.
Shadow education minister Theresa May said: “Parents need to know as much as possible, particularly at the start of a child’s time in school.”
Curriculum tests were introduced by the last Conservative government but the decision was taken to publish only the results for 11-year-olds.
School performance tables for GCSE and A-levels will be included in next week’s TES. Results for 11-year-olds are due to be published on December 10.
