Wanting to work for the Learning and Skills Council may not be the first sign of madness.
But it seems even the quango’s headhunting firm, Norman Broadbent, (motto:
“Every candidate is an individual”) would agree that such people may need their heads examined.
I took leave of my senses this week and, listening to the voices in my head, decided I should apply for a job as executive director of a local LSC.
Along comes the application pack, including a letter from Noorzaman Rashid, managing director of Norman Broadbent.
In it, he explains, “shortlisted candidates will also be required to meet with the LSC psychologist.”
The session, he explains, will last about two and a half hours and includes an interview as well as completion of two “personality questionnaires.”
Enough said.
