No go area for men: LEADERS OF primary headteachers deny strongly any bias in appointments of men.
“Headteachers will always have to look for the best person for the job, so bias is out of the picture,” John Nethercott, vice-president of the Association of Head Teachers Scotland, said. “I cannot believe heads would ignore a man because he’s a man.”
Mr Nethercott, headteacher of Aviemore primary, added: “It’s
a tragedy that so few men feel primary education is an attractive career, although I don’t think anybody has come up with the answer.”
