The A-Z of Traffic Tales begins with an ambulance and ends with a zebra crossing. A carrying case contains an alphabet frieze, teacher’s notes and six big books of stories for children at key stage 1.

Each letter has its own tale, promoting an essential principle of road safety. H is about holding adult hands on busy pavement; S deals with why we use seatbelts on theme park rides and in cars. The notes add dozens of ideas for developing the messages in the classroom. The A-Z of Traffic Tales is being distributed to all primary schools in London by Transport for London. If copies don’t arrive, contact dbda, Pin Point, 1-2 Rosslyn Crescent, Harrow HA1 2SB.
