Trust me, I’ve done the math

Politicians are trusted by just 14 per cent of the population and journalists by 19 per cent (“Damascus, via the scenic route”, Editorial, 19 October). Michael Gove is both journalist and politician. If the 19 per cent of the population who trust journalists is a completely different set of people from the 14 per cent who trust politicians, could it be that no one trusts Mr Gove?
