In your issue of August 11, you infer that the Family Education Trust, publishers of Tried But Untested: The Aims and Outcomes of Sex Education in Schools, is a right-wing organisation.
In our view, the right-wing label carries with it a bundle of other issues including racism, capital punishment, sexism and the like, none of which is espoused by this trust. The Family Education Trust is a charity which has no political or religious affiliations. Its aim is to promote research into the causes and effects of family breakdown, the extent of which is now a matter of grave concern to all shades of the social and political spectrum.
