All over the UK, chalk-wielding artists are getting ready for this year's Young Pavement Artist competition. More than 1,700 young people are expected to take part in 200 events in which they will be invited to get down to earth and compose on the theme of the coastline. Prince Tamino and the bird-man, Papageno, will join families on a quest through their enchanted forest during the Magic Flute family festival at the Barbican in London on July 12 and 13.
