TV profligates

I nearly choked on my dinner when I read that the Department for Education and Skills is spending over pound;20 million a year to broadcast television programmes for teachers 24 hours a day. What a waste of money!

Most teachers I know have little time to watch TV and most would not want to watch programmes about their work. pound;20m could go some way to getting adequate computer equipment into schools and making sure that buildings are properly repaired or rebuilt.

Clearly the DfES is getting more out of touch with reality and more profligate with our money.
