The Association of School and College Leaders has warned that changes to the inspection handbook of England’s schools watchdog Ofsted could make it more difficult for schools in tough catchment areas to obtain top grades. The document insists that “good” schools must record exam results “close to or above national figures” and no longer makes allowances for below-average schools that are “improving over a sustained period”.
So more schools will be told they’re failing and be persuaded to become academies. Privatising of education to be accelerated!
@pdss9
If schools below the line accelerate improvement aren’t they just going to move the average?
@McShaneChris
Oh dear. Sick of Ofsted and continual repositioning of goalposts.

So no recognition of excellent progress? #ThanksWilshaw
