Ahead of returning to school for the new term, teachers and students have been busy discussing their targets for 2014, not all of which are academic.

You know it’s bad when your maths teacher tells you to make maths your New Year’s resolution.

@sahb2397

Teacher: “On a piece of paper write down your New Year’s resolution.”

Me: *Writes resolution from last year*

@pamelalalavs

My teacher told me my New Year’s resolution should be to stop chewing gum in her class. HA HA HOW ABOUT NO

@jxbizzlex

I have made my New Year’s resolution! I’m going to train to become a primary teacher after my babies :-)

@Emma_L_Miller

My headteacher said my New Year’s resolution should be to stop saying “like” and, quote, “gain some common sense”. Cheeky.

@lamsfatty.
