The UK government’s proposal to give schools the power to set term dates could allow them to scrap the six-week summer holiday. The Department for Education said that terms should be decided by “heads and teachers who know their parents and pupils best”. But the Association of School and College Leaders warned that the changes could cause chaos for parents with children in different schools.

Don’t get the outrage about changing school holidays. Part of the reason teachers get burned out is because of their unequal distribution.
