MY school is a Beacon school. It is, however, a non-maintained special school. For that reason I do not get the grant which the Chancellor announced that all heads “will be receiving” yet my students are funded by local authorities, they have special nees and their teachers contribute to the national standards for visually impaired teachers by an extensive Outreach and Beacon service. Can anyone explain why we have missed out?
