Andrew Cunningham’s diatribe about so-called trendies is offensive to those of us who have met such challengers to educational practice. I once spent two very cold winter evening hours in an upstairs room over a pub in Worcester in the late 1970s listening and talking with Terry Ellis, of William Tyndale fame. He was neither loud nor offensive, merely articulate.
No doubt Mr Cunningham has met more of these trendies than I, so can be sure of his lofty assertions.
