Not long after style gurus Trinny and Susannah were dropped by ITV after viewing figures hit an all time low, a teacher has now landed herself in hot water for having a go at a pupil’s questionable fashion choice.

Unlike the TV duo, Virginia Green, teacher at Bohunt School in Liphook, Hampshire, found out that it’s best to keep your opinions on pupils’ style to yourself.

Mrs Green saw Aisher Smyth, a 13-year-old pupil, stacking chairs in the school canteen and asked her to roll down her skirt. This is likely to be a daily occurrence at many schools but allegedly Mrs Green then went on to say that Aisher looked like a slut and that the short skirt was “not doing much for (her) cellulite”.

It turns out that what might have looked like cellulite is a birth mark and the teacher’s remarks made her pupil cry.

Aisher’s mother was unimpressed by the incident and was reported to have said that the remarks would have been more fitting from another pupil rather than a teacher.

She has received a letter of apology from Mrs Green and from one of the school’s senior teachers.
