MOST children believe the supermarket is the only source of raw food, and that home-cooking involves putting dinner in the microwave. These findings from a survey of 1,300 11 to 16-year-olds conducted by Farming and Countryside Education prompted calls for more school visits to farms. Its poll found pupils did not value the countryside.
