“Fatal attractions: Aids and syphilis from medical, public and personal perspectives”, a free exhibition at The Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine, 183 Euston Road, London NW1, runs from May 19 to September 30. Exhibits include Second World War films and posters warning against the dangers of the “venereal peril”, artwork based on the Aids red-ribbon theme, and samples of scientific equipment used in research on the virus.
