Vocational education is failing to provide girls with a full range of career opportunities, says a new report from the Equal Opportunities Commission.

The report says girls are not being informed about trades dominated by men, or told that careers dominated by women tend to be poorer paid.

One bright spot is graduate women, who now make up more than half the entrants to jobs in medicine and law.
