The Welsh Assembly is to equip every school in the principality with at least one interactive whiteboard at a cost of pound;9.9 million.

Assembly education minister Jane Davidson said: “Providing the equipment is just the start of the story. It is important to ensure that training is provided to give teachers the skills and confidence to make use of this new technology.”

The assembly has set aside pound;4m for teacher training over the next three years.
