LORD Puttnam, General Teaching Council chairman and Oscar-winning film maker, criticised Disney’s new film Dinosaurs, while at the conference.
Lord Puttnam said: “It is far from being red in tooth and claw - the dinoaurs are a cute, benign community and don’t die out.”
He challenged teachers to offer a different version of history “increasing the thirst for knowledge and of lasting value because it is based on truth”.
