Police in Merseyside are appealing to parents to monitor their children’s mobile video phones for footage of crimes being committed and deliberately filmed.

Clips already seen by officers include loaded guns being brandished, illegal dog fights and cars and motorbikes speeding and being driven recklessly.

Chief Superintendent Andy Ward of Merseyside Police says: “We will investigate both the making and distribution of footage. We have power to seize phones.”
