Primary school pupils have created a Christmas song to raise money for less fortunate children around the world.
Pupils at Davyhulme Primary, in Trafford, Greater Manchester, made the song, Our Christmas Wish, and an accompanying video using just an iPad.
And now their teacher is determined to prove to them that they can compete with high-profile stars - including X Factor winner Matt Terry.
The song, which includes a Christmas rap from one pupil, was created to try and combat negativity in the news headlines over the past year and spread some festive cheer.
‘Believing in yourself can take you places’
But the pupils - who spent a long time writing the song, designing the artwork and recording the video - remain unconvinced that it will make the charts.
Teacher Lee Parkinson said: “I want to show my class that hard work, determination and education is more important than anything else.
“I want to show them that having good ideas and believing in yourself can take you places.”
All proceeds from the single will go to Save the Children. To download the song on iTunes, click here.
Mr Parkinson added: “It would be amazing if a little primary school in Davyhulme can make a song on the iPad and be up there with the big guns.”
