WE HAVE analysed the combined GovernmentOffice for Standards in Education response to the select committee report about the watchdog.
We can find no significant commitment to act on any of the committee’s recommendations. However, we do find many instances where there is a patronising pat on the head for the committee.
There are a limited number of occurrences where there is apparently an indirect acceptance of the recommendations, particularly where there are “procedures in place”. This is a complacent and arrogant government at its worst.
