Clackmannan College’s exports are artistic. John Inglis, head of art, design and interdisciplinary studies, has sold some of his watercolours at an exhibition in Bloomington, Illinois.

“The opportunity to exhibit in America arose through an exchange programme between Heartland College and Clackmannan,” Mr Inglis said.

The 30 paintings are inspired by the Scottish landscape and prehistoric objects from the bronze age. Mr Inglis this week attended a reception at the Bloomington arts centre and gave a lecture on 20th century Scottish watercolours.
