Welsh schools are bullying inspectors to get better reports, according to a former education director who runs his own inspection firm. An independent adjudicator is investigating complaints made to inspection agency Estyn by David Griffiths, former Gwent director, the Western Mail reported this week. But the National Union of Teachers Cymru, which opposes the use of private contractors to inspect schools, said its members frequently complained about hostility from inspectors.
