SMALL schools make up 17 per cent of the country’s total, but they are forced to take on schemes intended for larger ones, conference will be told.
Katriona Williamson, head of 45-pupil Garton-on-the-Wolds C of E primary in the East Riding of Yorkshire, is expected to take the Government to task for treating schools with up to three classes as an afterthought.
“What we want is for officials to put us at the heart of their plans. We may be a minority, but we are a significant minority and we deserve to be taken into account,” she said.
