Your story “15 of 50 school builds finish late” (TES, February 6) stated that The Bridge Learning Campus in Bristol opened nine months late. While the national target date set for its completion was not achieved, the construction ended as scheduled under the local target.

By that measure, it opened on time, as did the three other Building Schools for the Future schools delivered to Bristol City Council in 200708 by Bristol Local Education Partnership (LEP).

Hard work by the LEP and city council enabled the Bridge Learning Campus to be completed, to the delight of the students, staff and local community.

Kate Campion, Service director, Access, Engagement Skills, Bristol City Council

Mark Davies, chief executive, The Bridge Learning Campus

Paul Shadbolt, general manager, Bristol Local Education Partnership.
