* The History Channel site at

http:www.sky.co.ukhistory has relaunched its History Classroom, produced with “History Today” magazine. It encourages multimedia links between the Internet and The History Channel, screened daily from 4pm-8pm. An on-screen icon indicates programmes relevant to GCSE and A-level students. A competition offers prizes of books, CD-Roms and videos to winning GCSE students, and pound;1,000 further education sponsorship awards for five A-level students.

* History Resources at http:www. liv.ac.ukevansjonhumanitieshistoryhistory.html holds several links to history resources, including teaching material for Ancient Egypt, the Vikings and the Second World War.
