Periodic Landscapes, an exhibition from the Edinburgh International Science Festival held in April, is featured on the Royal Society of Chemistry’s site at: www.chemsoc.orgviselements “Fly-through” animation enables the viewer to take a journey through a virtual world comprising 16 futuristic computer-generated 3D landscapes constructed by following patterns in properties of Periodic Table elements. Conferences, news and useful links are also featured.

The Discovery Centre at Millennium Point in Birmingham due to open in 2001 can already be visited online at: www.discoverycentre.org.uk It provides information about the Centre, allows visitors to contribute to one of its exhibitions and takes them on a journey through time to meet James Watt at his workshop. An accompanying free video is being sent to Birmingham local authority schools.
