A massive refurbishment is taking place at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, and will be closed until 2006. The project is designed to re-equip it for the new century.
Multi-sensory discovery centres using cinema projection, sound and lighting, and ground-level entry and lifts to all floors are to be introduced. During closure, some exhibits can be viewed at the McLellan Galleries (0141-565 4100) and the Open Museum (0141 552 2356 ). Or visit www.glasgowmuseums.com.
