Young people in Wales who are members of voluntary youth organisations are achieving high standards and benefit from the experience, according to the Welsh schools inspectorate body, Estyn.
Its report, which looks at the work of youth organisations, such as te Scouts and Guides, the YMCA and the Welsh language youth group Urdd Gobaith Cymru, says the young people achieve good and often outstanding standards of youth work, acquire new skills, clearly enjoy the challenges and often make lifelong friendships.
