Mr Lenon is quite entitled to his opinions but he should get his facts right. Maths A-level is not a requirement to become a doctor, nor are three sciences.

Is he aware how much damage this type of inaccurate statement can do?

I think his ignorance highlights the need for good impartial advice in schools from trained careers professionals, be they in the employ of Connexions or some other discrete careers organisations.
