* “I sailed through GCSEs, then entered sixth form to find lessons more difficult and not necessarily as interesting as expected. At the same time, my parents split up acrimoniously. An understanding attitude from staff helped immensely. Don’t pry or push too hard for improved attitudeworkwhatever (at least not in front of the class). Praise when you can. It’s simple, but putting on pressure causes them to switch off even more. Hopefully, the student’s situation will improve and so will their attitude.” yayornay?
