The Executive must be very confused. Research, they say, is research - but it depends on who is reporting it. The Scotsman, recounting the London University study on new community schools, thundered: “pound;78 million schools plan making no impact.”

The Herald, on the other hand, took the view: “Pass marks for first test of the new community schools.”

Our line? “The community challenge.” That’s telling them.
