What is it? A unit of work on the Haka

Who is it for? 7-11s

Why is it hot? This set of lesson plans is easy to follow and includes a step-by-step photo guide to the lyrics and movements of this traditional, ritual Maori dance.

Why is it hot? Students have to put the quotes into the right order, identify the context in which they are used and explain what they signify.

9. Camera-less capture

What is it? A lesson about photography without a camera

Who is it for? 16-18s

Why is it hot? Different techniques are explored with examples, explanations and summaries of how to capture an image without using a camera.

10. Hazard awareness

What is it? An activity about recognising different chemicals and hazard symbols

Who is it for? 14-16s

Why is it hot? Students learn chemical names, then take a quiz that helps them to identify hazard symbols and to learn the differences between acids, alkalis and salts.
