Communication is everything, as world famous Scots-born photo- grapher Harry Benson discovered last week. He arrived at Stevenson College in Edinburgh (p18) to give a talk to photography students, armed with pictures of Britney Spears, McFly and Avril Lavigne. And why? He was under the impression he was due to speak to a group of 13-year-olds.

As pictures of the celebrities flashed up on the screen behind him, he lamented the fact that he hadn’t put in a call to Justice Minister Kenny MacAskill, who organised the visit, to clarify the situation.
