Where is the research?

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/where-research

I’ve just read your blog about Ben Goldacre and research in education (“Bad education? Ben Goldacre takes his campaign to teachers”, www.tesconnect.combigedblog).

I’ve been teaching for four years and get funny looks every time I ask what research shows that Comic Sans is the best font or that using a student’s preferred learning style is the best way to teach them. I’ve found it hard to access research now that I’m not at university. To be honest, I don’t even know where I can do so without having to pay expensive subscription fees. I hope that this is going to be the start of real change.
