PAMELA Wilkes has been appointed headteacher of Wimbledon high to succeed Dr Jill Clough who is leaving to take up the headship of East Brighton College of Media Arts. Ms Wilkes is currently deputy head of Sutton Coldfield grammar school for girls.

BROMLEY high school has appointed Lorna Duggleby as its new head to succeed Joy Hancock, who is now head at Old Palace School, Bromley. Ms Duggleby, currently head of Addington high in Croydon, takes up her new post next April.

VIVIENNE Ainley will join South Hampstead high school as its new head next September. Mrs Ainley, currently dputy head and director of studies at St Paul’s girls’ school, succeeds Jean Scott who has retired.

THE Association of Teachers and

Lecturers has appointed Sherry Jespersen as its new director of communications. She was formerly director of communications at the Library Association.

RUGBY School has appointed Patrick

Derham as its head from next September. Mr Derham, who is currently head at Solihull school, succeeds Michael Mavor who is now headteacher at Loretto school, near Edinburgh. Mr

Derham will join the Warwickshire school in September next year.
